My New Job

As some of you may already know I started my new job with Colonial Bank on June 2. Well just to catch those of you who didn't know up....After thinking and discussing long and hard with Robby I decided to take a part time job with the bank (Monday's and Friday's). The kids are getting a little bigger and not really wanting Mommy around as much so I figured I could do it just a couple of days a week.

I've been working everyday since the 2Nd, and let me just tell you it has been hard on me. I've NEVER been away from the kids this much, and now I am so glad that I didn't go full-time!!! Before I would maybe take them to my mom's house while I went to Wall-mart or something of that nature but be right back within an hour or so. And sometimes I'll go to my mom's just so that I can kick my feet up for a little while, and let the kids play with Caleb, but I'm still in the same house with them...so needless to say this has been an adjustment for me, the kids seem to be doing just fine though...lol

I'm scheduled to finish out the rest of this week, and then next week start my Monday and Friday schedule, (can't wait). I really do like it there so far, the people seem to be very nice, and they all welcomed me with open arms, which made it easier on me. I'm also very thankful to my family that has pitched in to help me take care of the kids, that too made it so much easier. I just pray that everything continues to go as good as it has been, and I promise to keep all of you posted. Have a great week!!!!

Happy Birthday to My Hubby (yesterday)

Yesterday was Robby's birthday...28!!! We had such a great time, we invited some of the family over for dinner and opened presents. First I want to say a BIG thank you to Robby's mom for cooking the lasagna, it was GREAT!! Robby has been driving me crazy trying to figure out what it was that I got him. Well he finally got to open it yesterday. Me and the kids got him a gas grill and a gas smoker, and yes I worked to get the money, so that it wouldn't be like he bought his own birthday present, considering I am a stay at home mom for now!! Well anyways he loved it. My dad, step-mom and step brother and sis got him grill utensils to use!! My mom, Erin, Jimmy and Caleb wasn't able to come because Caleb had a game last night...but we are all going to get together when Stentsen gets home...YEAH!!!!!!!! I so can't wait, I've been missing my bro-in-law.

Well I want to say Happy Birthday to my very best friend in the whole world!! I love you very, very much and I hope you have many, many more to come!!!!!!

A Few Days With Caitlyn!!

It has been a wonderful past few days, I've had the opportunity to babysit Caitlyn for Daniel and Gina, and let me just say she is so sweet and adorable. I thought going into it that it would be hard, not at all because she is a hard baby to watch, but just because I have two other kids to keep an eye on as well. It has been nothing but a joy, Braigen is my big helper, she wants to do everything for her. And Brody couldn't care less until she starts crying, and them he wants to know what I did to upset her.
She is one of the best babies I've ever kept, she only gets fussy when she is sleepy and even then she is such a joy to be with. I'm going to miss getting to spend time with her when she goes back to her other baby sitter, but I look forward to the next time I get to keep her. Let me just tell you Daniel and Gina have done an excellent job with her. I want to say a big thank you to them both for allowing me to watch her.

Happy Mothers Day to Me!!

I just want to start by saying Happy mothers Day to everyone...I know I'm one day late!! I had a wonderful Mothers day, thanks to all of my family.
Saturday my family took all of the mothers out to eat at Jim-n-Nicks in Gardendale...so good. My Mom bought my dinner, and also gave me a gift card to Peebles...wow, thanks mom!! Sunday was great, I have the best kids (and Hubby) ever!! ALL day long Braigen and Brody were telling me Happy Mothers Day, We love you!! Braigen and Brody also went outside and picked me some very beautiful flowers...

After we ate lunch at Robby's moms house, she gave the mothers beautiful bracelets, we all loved them...I couldn't get a good pic of it though!!! After lunch my hubby let me go down stairs and take a nap, or do what ever I wanted while he had the kids...WOW, it was great. When I woke up Robby and the kids took me out to eat Mexican, we had so much fun, the kids were loving the music playing in the background, Braigen kept saying "Daddy took us to Mexico Mommy!"
Well I just thought I would share with all of you my wonderful weekend....but on a more serious note, I would like to ask all of you to remember two people in your prayers...my niece Taylor, and my dad. Taylor is having surgery on her spine today (Monday), and bless her heart she will have to lay flat for 3 days, and any of you who has kids knows once they've learned to sit up it's just about impossible to get them to lay down for long periods of time!!
My dad will be having surgery on his heart Tuesday. He already had stints put in once before and now they are going back in to put some more in....So if you could please remember Taylor and her mommy and daddy as well and my dad I would GREATLY appreciate it. I love you all, and I hope everyone has a wonderful week.

Braigen's Busy Monday!!!

Monday started with Braigen and her daddy going on a field trip with her class to Desoto Caverns. Her daddy hasn't been able to go on any of the other field trips because of work so this being their last one he decided to go,(he had to pick the best one..lol). Braigen said they had a blast, they were able to go on a cave tour, go through a maze, go panning for gems, have cannon wars, and a train ride!! After she did all that she was able to go buy something from the gift shop, where she bought her a hard hat with a light (pink of course), and she said she didn't want Brody to be upset that he wasn't able to go so she bought him an Indian drum (such a sweet big sis). Robby said she was wore out!! She slept the whole way home, and for those of you who know Braigen, she just doesn't sleep like that, so he must have been tired!!

When they got home they just had a few minutes to rest and eat before we had to get ready for her ball game at Fultondale. They did AWESOME!! I don't know what got into those kids, but they all did good, especially since it was 30 degrees outside!!!! It was all we could do to keep warm. We have been asking Braigen after every game, "why don't you run like you do when you're running after Hailey?" We just couldn't figure out why she was just jogging around the bases. OK time to brag... Well Monday night she put those feet into action!! Probably because she was trying to keep warm, but hey she did it!! She even had a home run!!!! After the game was over she asked me "mommy why were you jumping up and down and banging on the fence saying GO BRAIGEN GO?" Because I was so excited!!! They all did really good, hope we can keep it up!
